Game of Thrones Tour

One of the most popular tv shows in the world right now is HBOs Game of Thrones. The rugged scenery of Northern Ireland has provided many iconic shooting locations for every series of the hit show and many of these locations are situated along the Antrim Coast.

About the tour

Legends of the North would like to offer a special treat to all you Game of Thrones fans, by taking you on a unique VIP tour up the Antrim Coast, visiting not only numerous shooting locations but also some of Northern Ireland’s most famous attractions.

Your guide will transport you to Westeros, showing you exactly what happened where and presenting one of the world’s greatest coastal roads in an entirely new light. Along your journey you will discover the locations for Renly Baratheons camp, the Iron Islands, Arya’s escape road from King’s Landing and many more. You can also choose to brave the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, tackled by many of the cast and crew of the show, along with Northern Ireland’s most popular attraction and only World Heritage Site – The Giant’s Causeway.

We have a standard itinerary which you can see below, however, the ethos of Legends is to give you your tour, your way. Perhaps you want to visit Dunluce Castle, or Bushmills Whiskey Distillery, but you’re not bothered about going over the Rope Bridge or down to Cushendun caves? The choice is yours (changes to the itinerary must be arranged prior to the tour in order to work out an updated price)

Highlights

  • You will explore Larrybane, site of numerous Game of Thrones locations throughout the seasons, providing the backdrop for Storm’s End and also the site of Renly Baratheon’s camp. The famous Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge is also located here if you’re up for the challenge.
  • Even for Game of Thrones fanatics on a Game of Thrones locations tour, the mighty Giant’s Causeway is one of the highlights – 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns steeped in Irish legend.
  • The King’s Road (otherwise known as the Dark Hedges) was already one of the most iconic sites in Northern Ireland before Arya Stark travelled down it to escape King’s Landing. A photographer’s favourite, you will be stunned at the 200 year old Birch trees forming an archway over the King’s Road.
